Definition
1. Short for R-2R ladder: A method for D/A conversion which employs a ladder-shaped resistor array composed of two resistor values: R and 2R. Each bit in the digital input switches a ladder's rungs in and out of the network to change the output voltage by an amount proportional to the significance of the bit.
