The DS1410E utilizes a DS1481 1-Wire® Bus Master to generate the 1-Wire timing signal at both normal overdrive operating speeds. The DS1410E's logic allows transparent printer operation while a 1-Wire device or iButton® is installed, allowing the parallel port to be shared.
